Debian at the core of modern communications networks
Debian's growing prominence in servers for SIP, XMPP and WebRTC
There are an increasing number of communications packages in Debian. Existing packages like Asterisk have been evolving. New packages like reSIProcate offer a whole new dimension of opportunities for federation. SIP and XMPP protocols also provide a useful platform for reliable, distributed messaging between humans and applications too. This talk will look at some of the opportunities these packages provide and help developers find opportunities to interact with them.
